U.S. Supreme Court to Review COVID Vaccine Mandates Friday
The Supreme Court says it will hold a special session Friday, January 7 to discuss challenges to two Biden administration requirements for COVID vaccines.
A three-judge panel of the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati ruled 2-1 last month that the vaccine requirement and testing regimen for workers at larger companies could take effect. The requirement could impact some 84 million Americans.
The Supreme Court will also hear arguments over a rule published by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid that applies to a wide range of health care workers that receive federal Medicare or Medicaid funding.
